Who we are
The Water Delivery app is operated by Abdali Technologies (“Abdali Tech”, “we”), Amman, Jordan, and distributed on the App Store and Google Play under the Abdali Media developer account. For any question about this policy or about your data, write to info@alabdalitech.com.
What we collect
We only collect what an order needs in order to reach you:
- Account details — your full name, email address and mobile number, given when you register.
- Delivery location — the coordinates and address text of the place you choose for a delivery, plus any saved addresses you label (for example “Home”).
- Order details — the quantity of water requested in cubic metres, the price at the time of ordering, the delivery status and its timestamps, and the amount paid in cash.
- Device push tokens — so we can notify you when a driver accepts, is on the way, or has arrived.
- Technical diagnostics — crash reports and basic error logs produced by the app.
We do not collect card or bank details. Version 1 of the app is cash on delivery, so no payment instrument is ever entered in the app.
Location data
The customer app uses your device location only while the app is open, and only to centre the map on you and to fill in the delivery point you confirm. You can decline the location permission and still place an order by moving the map pin or typing an address by hand. The app does not track your location in the background.
The driver app shares a driver’s live location with the customer and with our dispatch service while that driver is on duty or on an active job, so that an assigned delivery can be tracked on the map. Drivers can go offline, which stops that sharing.
What the other party sees
To make a delivery work, a driver assigned to your order sees your name, your mobile number and your delivery address, and you see the assigned driver’s name, mobile number, vehicle plate and live position. Nothing else from your account is shared with drivers, and drivers who were offered but did not take your order do not receive your contact details.
How we use it
- To create, dispatch, track and complete your orders.
- To let you and your driver contact each other about an active delivery.
- To send order notifications to your device.
- To keep order and delivery records for accounting and dispute resolution.
- To detect abuse, fraud and misuse of the service, and to keep the service secure.
- To diagnose crashes and improve the app.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising or share it with advertisers.
Service providers
We run the app on infrastructure operated by the following providers, which process data on our behalf under their own terms:
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Functions, Cloud Messaging) — accounts, order records and push notifications. Our data is hosted in Google’s European region.
- Google Maps Platform — maps, geocoding and route estimates.
Using these providers means some data is processed outside Jordan, including in the European Union. We only use providers that commit to appropriate safeguards for that transfer.
How long we keep it
Your account stays while it is open. Order records are kept for as long as we need them for accounting, tax and dispute purposes, and are then deleted or anonymised. Push tokens are removed when you sign out or uninstall the app.
Your choices
- Permissions — location and notifications can be refused or revoked at any time in your device settings; the app keeps working with reduced convenience.
- Access and correction — your profile is editable in the app, and you can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Deletion — write to info@alabdalitech.com to have your account and personal data deleted. We will keep only the order records we are legally required to retain.
Children
The app is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly create accounts for them. If you believe a child has registered, contact us and we will remove the account.
Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored in access-controlled systems. Customers can only read their own account and their own orders; drivers can only read orders offered or assigned to them; prices and order status can only be changed by our server. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page and, for a significant change, notify you in the app. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
